  • What does the warranty consist of and for how long?

Warranties vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Please refer to your product package for individual manufacturer’s warranty. We guarantee all materials manufactured by Gro-Tech to be cut and drilled to exact dimension and measurement. We do not provide a warranty on materials or equipment manufactured by a 3rd party. Manufacturers warranties do not cover improper installation or incorrect usage of the equipment and/or materials. If you feel you are within your warranty time and guidelines you must contact the manufacturer directly and request an RA (Return Authorization). You can then send the proposed defective item back to manufacturer for review. Once/if the manufacturer deems the product defective you will receive a replacement within the usual lead times provided by the manufacturer.

  • Are there any fees for warranty replacement?

You can be charged for a replacement and shipping if product/s are deemed non defective.

  • What are material and mechanical warranties?

Refer to Gro-Tech Systems Warranty & Equipment warranty doc provided.

  • How long does it take to get a warranty replacement? Can I use a supplier in my area to get a replacement or are the parts used specific to Gro-Tech Systems and the manufacturer?

  • Once I purchase how long will it take to get my greenhouse?

The Foothill and Sierra Series have a 6-week lead time while the Alpine Series has a 10-week lead time. Also, all engineered plans have a 4-week lead time.

  • I read that a forklift is needed during delivery, is that a must?

That depends on what size structure you are purchasing. Most of the items delivered can be unloaded by hand but it will take a very long time to do so. You also only have a 2-hour window of unload time or you get charged extra from the shipping company. So the forklift allows you to need less people to unload and can save you time and money.

  • How far will your builders travel?

Please contact a contractor on our list of preferred contractors. Refer to supplied preferred contractors list provided.

  • Do you have a service department?

Yes, please call for an appointment with a service tech.

  • Will you do a site visit?

Yes, we can do a site visit. Please contact a sales person for availability.

  • Do you sell engineered plans?

They are included in every single purchase of an Alpine or Sierra series greenhouse.

  • Will you walk my GC through the installation if he/she visits your showroom?

Yes we can. Please contact a sales person for availability.

  • Do you guys offer any kind of ground coverings or floor solutions?

Gro-Tech can suggest and/or recommend ground coverings or floor solutions but we do not install or manufacture any of those types of products. We can source some material for customers if arranged properly.

  • Can you automate my hoop house?

Depends on the structure. Provide more info on what kind of retrofit works.

  • Do you install?

We work with a network of construction experts. We will provide you with a preferred contractors list.

  • Do you have installation manuals?

Yes, we do have an installation manual.

  • What questions should I ask while vetting a contractor?

Vetting your General Contractor should include thorough research into their resume, portfolio and references. If they don't have all three of these components do not consider them an option. Make sure their contractors license is current and valid as well as their insurance. Talk with previous customers for information about how well they kept to schedule, budget and if they completed the project. And finally if they would recommend their services to a close friend or family member.

  • How long will it take to install?

Construction time line depends on contractor and specific project. Please ask your contractor.

  • Can I build this myself?

We recommend only a licensed contractor install your structure. Would you let just anyone assemble your brand new car? Your new greenhouse structure is best handled by a professional.

  • What type of subfloor should I use?

Concrete is easier to clean, but causes extra heat. Gravel is cheaper and retains less heat. Start up cost are much higher for concrete.
